Wastewater will no longer be a problem for Binh Duong

Project “Wastewater Collection and Treatment for Binh Duong Province” supported by the Dutch financing facility for infrastructure development (ORIO), for which a final Grant Agreement between the Vietnamese and Dutch Governments was signed on 22/7/2016.

The project comprises of the entire design, construction and start-up, commissioning and put into operation of a new “green field” wastewater collection system, including a new wastewater treatment plant with the capacity of 15,000 m3/day. It concerns the collection and treatment of wastewater discharged from households, servicing up to almost 120,000 people, and over 500 SMEs in the project area.

The project aims to improve wastewater collection and treatment by realization of a wastewater collection system and build wastewater treatment plant to treat the sewage before discharging it to the river.

The project will reduce waterborne diseases, environmental problems and problems with flooding and poor sanitation of the project area through improved drainage, wastewater collection and treatment infrastructures (by 2019)

The project area includes commune of Tan Binh (Di An district), communes of An Phu, Binh Chuan and Thuan Giao (Thuan An district) and commune of Tan Phuoc Khanh and Thai Hoa (Tan Uyen district).
